§ 11-3. Trucks on P.R. No. 170

  • (a) Definition. "Through truck traffic" is defined, for the purposes of this section, as any truck utilizing the following as connecting roads:

    Billy Weaver Road (P.R. 170) between Louisiana Highway No. 3191 and Louisiana Highway No. 1, located in Sections 10 and 13 of T-9-N, R-8-W.

    Clark Road (P.R. 407) between U.S. Highway No. 84 and Louisiana Highway No. 480, situated in Sections 6, 7, 18, 19, and 30 of T-10-N, R-6-W.

    (b) Through traffic. Through truck traffic as defined herein is prohibited. Appropriate signs giving notice of this provision shall be placed at both ends (entrances) of said road.

    (c) Deliveries. Nothing herein contained shall prohibit the use of said road by trucks providing goods or services to persons residing on said road, or upon the issuance of a special permit by the parish police jury.

    (d) Penalty for violation. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00), or imprisoned in the parish jail for not more than thirty (30) days, or both.
