 Chapter 11. Motor Vehicles And Traffic

  § 11-4. Weight of vehicles—Over ten tons

  • (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a vehicle having a gross weight in excess of ten (10) tons on the following parish roads:

    Bay Springs Cemetery Road, situated in sections 22, 87, 26, 27, and 35 of Township 6 North, Range 5 West, and sections 1 and 2 of Township 5 North, Range 5 West.

    P.R. No. 37 (Shamrock Loop Road), situated in section 31, T-9-N, R-9-W, and section 6, T-8-N, R-9-W.

    P.R. No. 407 (Clark Road), Bridge located on Parish Road 407.

    P.R. No. 449 (Marthaville-Allen Road), from the junction of S.R. 120 to the junction with P.R. No. 599 (Crossroads Church Road).

    P.R. No. 615 (the Natchez Lane), from the junction of S.R. 1 in Natchez to the junction of P.R. No. 615 (Old River Road).

    P.R. No. 630 (the Collins Road), situated in sections 28, 21, 22, 15, 16, 10, 3, 30 or T-8-N, R-8-W; and section 34, T-9-N, R-8-W.

    P.R. No. 661 (Warneke Ward Line Road), situated in sections 32 and 33, T-8-N, R-9-W and sections 4 and 5, T-7-N, R-9-W.

    P.R. No. 665 (Central Church Loop Road), situated in sections 19, 20, 29, and 30, T-8-N, R-9-W.

    P.R. No. 667 (Matthews Road), situated in sections 29 and 30, T-8-N, R-9-W.

    P.R. No. 668 (Robeline-Vowells Mill Road), situated in sections 30, 31 and 32, T-8-N, R-9-W.

    P.R. No. 715 (Longlois Hill Road), situated in sections 2 and 3, T-7-N, R-7-W.

    P.R. No. 1012 (Marco Road), situated in sections 38, 72, 7, 71, 70, 66, 63, 60, 58, 56, and 54 of T-6-N, R-4-W.

    P.R. No. 5052 (Robert Rawles Loop Road), situated in sections 25, 26 and 24, T-9-N, R-10-W, and sections 19, 30 and 31, T-9-N, R-9-W.

    P.R. No. 5056 (Pat Freeman Loop Road), situated in sections 19, 38, 20, 29, 30, 31 and 32, T-9-N, R-9-W.

    (b) Nothing in this section shall prohibit or prevent the police jury's issuing a permit for the use of said roads by overweight vehicles.
