§ 13-2. Shell Beach; swimming; boat speeds

  • (a) On Cane River Lake, from a point one hundred (100) yards north of, to one hundred (100) yards south of, the Shell Beach public boat launching ramp near the bridge at Bermuda, Louisiana, it shall be unlawful for any person:

    (1) To swim.

    (2) To operate a boat at a speed in excess of five (5) miles per hour or in such a manner as to cause a wake or wave in excess of six (6) inches in height.

    (b) Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) or confined for not more than thirty (30) days in jail or both.
