§ 19-1. Utility along or across right-of-way—Permit

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to install gas, water, sewerage, electrical, telephone or other utility lines along, under or across parish road rights-of-way without first acquiring a permit from the director of public works in accordance with procedures established by the police jury. Any person violating this section or failing to comply with any of its requirements (including violations of conditions and safeguards established in connection with the issuance of a permit hereunder) shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
