Under and by virtue of the authority conferred by Chapter 8, Section 33:3811 et seq., of the Louisiana Revised Statutes, a waterworks district
is created within the parish and shall comprise and embrace all of that territory
within the following described boundaries: Beginning at a point on the south boundary
of the corporate limits of the City of Natchitoches in section 72, T-9-N, R-7-W, 500
feet west of the Missouri and Pacific Railroad; thence in a southeasterly direction,
500 feet west of and parallel to the Missouri and Pacific Railroad through sections
133, 110, 105, 104 and 103, T-9-N, R-7-W, and sections 58, 47, 60, 63, 11 and 79 to
the north boundary of section 82 in T-8-N, R-7-W; thence west along the north boundary
of section 82 to Old River; thence in a southerly direction following the meander
of Old River to the northeast corner of a certain tract of land, containing approximately
one acre, owned by L. L. Culpepper, located in section 14, T-8-N, R-7-W; thence, 200 feet west, thence 200 feet south, then 200 feet east,
thence 200 feet north to Old River, thence continuing in a southwesterly meander of
Old River to the southeast corner of section 37, T-8-N, R-7-W; thence northwesterly
along the south line of said section 37 to the southwest corner; thence northeasterly
along the west boundary of sections 37, 36½ and 35½ to the intersection of the north
line of section 21, T-8-N, R-7-W; thence west along the north line of sections 21
and 20 to the northwest corner of the east half of said section 20, T-8-N, R-7-W;
thence south along the west line of the east half of sections 20 and 29 to its intersection
with the north line of section 32, T-8-N, R-7-W; thence west along the north line
of sections 32 and 31, T-8-N, R-7-W and section 36, T-8-N, R-8-W, to the northwest
corner of said section 36; thence south to the southwest corner of said section 36;
thence east to the northwest corner of section 6, T-7-N, R-7-W; thence south along the west boundary of section 6, T-7-N, R-7-W, to the southwest corner of the north half of said section 6, T-7-N, R-7-W; thence east along the south line of the north half of section 6, T-7-N, R-7-W, to its intersection with the west line of section 5, T-7-N, R-7-W; thence south along the west line of sections 5 and 8 to the southwest
corner of section 8, T-7-N, R-7-W; thence east along the south line of sections 8, 9 and 10 to the southeast
corner of section 10, T-7-N, R-7-W; thence north along the east line of said section 10 to the northeast corner of section 10; thence east along the south line of section 3, T-7-N, R-7-W to the southeast corner
of section 3; thence north along the east line of section 3 to the southwest corner
of the north half of section 2, T-7-N, R-7-W; thence east along the south line of
the north half of section 2 to its intersection with the southwest corner of the north
half of section 1, T-7-N, R-7-W; thence south along the west line of sections 1 and
38 to the southwest corner of said section 38, T-7-N, R-7-W; thence east along the
south boundary of section 38 to the southeast corner of section 38, said point also
being the range line between T-7-N and R-7-W and R-6-W; thence south along the range
line to the north boundary of Kisatchie National Forest; thence east approximately
0.25 miles, south 0.50 miles, east 0.25 miles, south 2.55 miles, east 0.25 miles,
south 0.82 miles, south 64 degrees and 30 minutes east 0.40 miles, south 80 degrees
east 0.80 miles to the west boundary of section 4, south 0.40 miles along the west side of section 4 to the southwest corner, east along the south line of section 4 to the southeast corner thereof which is a common point for sections 4, 3 and 43
in T-6-N, R-6-W. The above follows a portion of the boundary of the Kisatchie National
Forest to the above mentioned southeast corner of section 4. From this point, continue east for approximately 0.75 miles to intersect the south
boundary of section 39; thence southeasterly along the south line of sections 39,
38 and 37 in T-6-N, R-6-W continuing southeasterly along the south boundary of section
47; thence northeasterly along the south boundary of sections 48 and 49 to a point
common to sections 49, 72 and 81, T-6-N, R-5-W; thence east approximately 1.35 miles
to a point of intersection of Cane River and the east boundary of section 70; thence
northeasterly along the east boundary of section 70, T-6-N, R-5-W to a projected point
1.50 miles beyond the intersection of Cane River, which point is in section 71, T-7-N,
R-5-W; thence northwesterly approximately 1.64 miles to Highway No. 491; thence southeasterly
along the south side of Highway No. 491 approximately 0.25 miles to the northwest
corner of four (4) acres owned by Sullivan LaCaze in section 58, T-7-N, R-5-W; thence
southerly 400 feet; thence easterly 600 feet; thence northerly 190 feet; thence easterly
210 feet; thence northerly 420 feet to the south side of Highway No. 491; thence continue
northerly across Highway No. 491 to a point 650 feet north of said Highway; thence
westerly 2,500 feet; thence southerly 650 feet; thence easterly 1200 feet to a point
on the north side of Highway No. 491; thence in a westerly direction along the north
side of Highway No. 491 to a point immediately north of that point, that is, 1.64
miles northwesterly of the projected point in section 71, T-7-N, R-5-W; thence 1.11
miles to a sharp bend in Little River in the southeast corner of section 43, T-7-N,
R-5-W; thence northwesterly along the meander of Little River to a point where Little
River intersects section 78, T-7-N, R-6-W; thence north along the east boundaries
of sections 78, 79, 80 and 69, which is also the range line between R-6-W and T-7-N,
R-5-W, to the southwest corner of section 40; thence east along the south boundary
of section 40 to the southeast corner of said section 40, T-8-N, R-5-W; thence north
along the east boundary of section 40 to its northeast corner; thence west to the
intersection of the west boundary of section 47, T-8-N, R-6-W; thence south along
the west boundary of said section 47 to the southeast corner of section 48, T-8-N,
R-6-W; thence northwesterly along the south boundary of said section 48 to its intersection
with Parish Road No. 9070, T-8-N, R-6-W; thence in a northerly direction along Parish
Road No. 9070 to its intersection with Parish Road No. 9067, T-8-N, R-6-W; thence
in a southwesterly direction along Parish Road No. 9067 to its intersection with State
Highway No. 1220, T-8-N, R-6-W; thence northwesterly approximately 0.20 miles crossing
Little River to the east boundary of section 49, T-8-N, R-6-W; thence northerly along
the east boundary of said section 49 to the northeast corner thereof; thence northwesterly
approximately 1.25 miles to the northeast corner of section 44 to the intersection
of Bayou Althao; thence northerly along the meander of Bayou Althao crossing sections
30, 29, 22 and 21 to the northwest boundary of section 21, T-8-N, R-6-W; thence northeasterly
approximately 0.20 miles along the northwest boundary of said section 21 to a point
common to sections 21, 6 and 5, T-8-N, R-6-W; thence northwesterly along a line between
sections 6 and 5, 7 and 5, T-8-N, R-6-W; sections 42 and 52, 42 and 43, to the northeast
corner of section 42, T-9-N, R-6-W; westerly across section 59 to a point common to
sections 59, 53 and 30, T-9-N, R-6-W; thence westerly along the south boundary of
sections 30 and 50 to the Range Line between R-6-W and R-7-W; thence north along said
Range Line to the southeast corner of Water District No. 1 in the southeast corner
of section 61, T-9-N, R-7-W; thence in a southwesterly direction and along the southerly
line of said section 61 to the Cane River; thence in northerly and southwesterly directions
following the meander of said Cane River to the easterly corporate limit line of the
City of Natchitoches, Louisiana; thence along the easterly and southerly corporate
limit lines of the said City of Natchitoches, Louisiana to a point on the south boundary
of the corporate limits of said city in section 72, T-9-N, R-7-W, 500 feet west of
the Missouri and Pacific Railroad or point of beginning.
