§ 9-14. Belmont Water System, Inc

(a) The resolutions previously passed by the Natchitoches Parish Policy Jury on May 15, 1991 and June 17, 1998 be and they are hereby ratified and confirmed and the Natchitoches Parish Police Jury does hereby ratify, confirm and grant unto Belmont Water System, Inc., its successors and assigns, including Belmont Waterworks, Inc., a limited and non-exclusive franchise, right and privilege to maintain and operate a water distribution system within the following described areas of Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, to-wit:

That portion of Sections 19, 30 and 31, Township 9 North, Range 10 West, Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana: (1) beginning at the Sabine/Natchitoches parish line at Highway 120 and continuing approximately 10,560 feet, within the right of way of Highway 120; (2) beginning at the Sabine/Natchitoches parish line at Parish Road 589 (Boline Road), and continuing approximately 5,635 feet within the right of way of Parish Road 589; and (3) beginning at the intersection of Parish Road 589 with Parish Road 590 (Wolfgreer Road) and continuing northeast, within the right of way of Parish Road 590 approximately 1,256 feet.

(b) This non-exclusive franchise shall continue in existence so long as Belmont Water System, Inc., or its successors and assigns, which include Belmont Waterworks, Inc., operate a water distribution system within any of the franchise areas.

(c) Belmont Water System, Inc., its successors and assigns, may, at its discretion, mortgage, pledge or assign such rights as herein granted in order to secure a valid indebtedness of said Belmont Water System, Inc., or its successors or assigns.
